Recipient config errors
I have just installed Exchange 07 SP1 on Win2k8(single server). just doing some final checks before moving mailboxes over from 03 Exchange. receiving at least 20 of the following errors form the Recipient configuration. can anyone tell me what is wrong? Much apprecitate--------------------------------------------------------Microsoft Exchange Warning--------------------------------------------------------Warningsget-recipientCompletedWarning:Object domain.com/ABC Group/123/John Doe has been corrupted and it is in an inconsistent state. The following validation errors have occurred:Warning:"John Doe" is not valid for Alias. Valid values are: Strings formed with characters from a to z (uppercase or lowercase), digits from 0 to 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', *, +, -, /, =, ?, ^, _, `, {, |, } or ~. One or more periods may be embedded in an alias, but each one of them should be preceded and followed by at least one of the other characters. Unicode characters from U+00A1 to U+00FF are also valid in an alias, but they will be mapped to a best-fit US-ASCII in the email address which is generated from such an alias.

Hello,If you have a mixed-mode environment with both Exchange2003and Exchange2007servers, you should remove the spaces from the aliases of your recipients.ReferenceHow to Remove Spaces From Recipient Aliases by Using the Exchange Management Shellhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb851499.aspxExchange 2007 Scripting Corner: fix-aliashttp://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/06/15/441802.aspxhope that helps
