Re-occuring appointments from users long gone
We often receiverequests to remove calendar items that are reoccuring from users that have been deleted from the exchange system. I understand that this information is kept in the public information store, and therefore it is not deleted once a user's mailbox is deleted. Is there a method to remove calendar items that were created by users long gone?

Justin, are you talking about the Free/Busy information? That is stored in the public folder store. However, anything a user puts on their own calendar is stored as part of their mailbox. When the mailbox is deleted, their entire calendar is gone. Are you seeing a problem that seems to be a result of users that are no longer in your organization?

Jim, I am sorry for the confusion. I am talking about the Free/Busy information. Our management is concerned about thier re-occuring calendar items that were scheduled by users who are no longer at the organization. I believe that all they need to do is remove (delete) the occurances of the meetings from thier calendars but alas, they would like this done automatically at the time of a user's departure. I must say that I really like yourbook, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Advanced Administration!
