RSS feeds periodically refill, old read messages show up unread
I'm using Outlook 2013 (Office 15.something) and use it as my RSS reader. Every now and then perhaps with month in between, suddenly I will have hundreds of unread RSS entries. I have seen, read and deleted all these in the past. I should be able to delete them (to save local storage), shouldn't

Hi,

Do you have the same RSS feeds in other programs, like Internet Explorer?

Check if you have this policy enabled:

Administrative Templates/Microsoft Outlook 2013/Account Settings/RSS  Feeds/Synchronize Outlook RSS Feeds with Common Feed List

Disable this policy and check if the issue will persist.

No, I don't view RSS feeds anywhere else. And this system is standalone, not a domain member, which is perhaps why I don't see that policy.

But there is a setting for that in Outlook and it is not selected
