Hi I'm running Exchange 2007 SP2 on Windows 2008. We use RSG's quite heavily here. Thing is, sometimes a user will say I need x amount mails restored, but we end up restoring their whole mailbox to a restore mailbox which takes time. Most of the time, we know which folder we need restored. Or, at the very least, which ones we can exclude from the restore process (e.g. Sent Items, Calendar, Tasks etc).
