RPC over HTTP password prompt in Outlook (a way to eliminate?) Cant find solution which works... More options?
I've searched around on this issue and cant seem to find a way around the password prompt.. I've played with the security options in the RPC instance in IIS on exchange.. no combination of this plus setting the outlook client to NTLM has resulted in the prompt going away. I'm beginning to think its just not possible (in the case of not being part of the same domain etc). The remote machine is simply by itself on its own connection etc.. No VPN.. No domain... Is there some way to avoid the prompt which I may not have tried? I've also looked at the MS article that discusses this very thing and have tried the registry change as well... Thanks
