RPCClientAccess value
I have two different site (HQ & DRC), so it means I have 2 CAS Array, currently HQ are handling all the users mailbox. Let say one of the DB failover to site DRC, is the RPCClientAccessServer value change automatically according to it site ? example : DB01 on HQ site has mail.mydomain.com then it failover to DRC site, could it be DB01 RPCClientAccess value change to drc.mydomain.com ?Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. In your e.g If the CAS servers are still available then it will contine to use those at HQ to access the DB at DRC. If they aren't availble and you have a site failure, then you need to update the DNS records to use DRC. However, if you have SP2 RU3 then you can control this behaviour in your e.g.Sukh

Then I suggest you go to SP2 RU3, apart from that the behaviour would be around the activation preference or if th endpoints are available or not.Sukh

FYI, value for AllowCrossSiteRPCClientAcces on my environment has FALSE value, but still the FQDN for CAS Array change by itself :(Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. hi, >>> DB01 on HQ site has mail.mydomain.com then it failover to DRC site, could it be DB01 RPCClientAccess value change to drc.mydomain.com ? In my mind, the RpcClientAccesServer value is set on your mailbox, it will not be changed when failover. And if you want to slience failover for your client, why you want to change the value from mail.domain.com to drc.domain.com. If you do that, you should tell your users to change their setting, otherwise they can't connect their mailbox. So i recommend that you should set the same value on both site database. And set redirection or proxy. Then if your database in your hq site is down, only you need do is to change the A record when the cas server also is down. The value doesn't get changed if there's a switchover or a failover, unless an admin changes this value. Are you sure it was not changed?Sukh

Sukh Hi Sukh, Yes, when it failover to DR site, the value changed then I activate database again on HQ site but the RPC value didn't change because Activation Preference on the HQ is higher than DC, I've already repro it on lab :)Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
