I have several stores in my exchange 2003 cluster environment, depending on location. They all have quotas enabled. For one specific store, I just turned on quotas (previously this store had no limits). I am migrating users from an old server to this new one. For users that are going to be above the limit, I have them set as exceptions, some with no limits (execs, vp's), some with specific limits (directors). One user was already in that store and was above the limit. I made an exception for him and then implemented the quota on the store. He could not send. When I attempted to add a specific limit in the exceptions, still no good. As soon as I removed the quota from the store, he was able to send with no problem. What am I missing? I don't want to leave the store without quotas but if the exceptions are not going to work, I don't know what else to try except creating a whole new store that has no limits and mover those users there. I did not try that but after I re-did the rules later that night, it took effect. I will look at the article and keep these suggestions in mind for the next time. Thanks for the info. BTW...would it make a difference if it is a clustered server?

I think it will not make different even it is a cluster server.
