Queue Viwer & Trouble Shooting in Ex 2007
Hi Team, One of our customer environment is Ex 2007 and it is having more hub transport server across the region. My request is here If any of the users whoese mailbox is in one of the mailbox server (Ex001) is having the problem with outgoing and incoming email issue means, what i will do means, Iam checking all the hubtransport servers queue viwer to check whether is there any mail Pile up in the queue. if not there means, i will be sending the test mails to the users and check whteher it is received or not. Instead of checking all the queue's in the queue viewer, is there any PS command to check the mail queue pile up in all Hub Transport servers? Also, How do we trouble shoot if the user are having the issue with outgoing or incoming emails issues.... Please suggest.

Hi, Have a look into this post it has a script for the same purpose : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverpowershell/thread/2adc37b8-948d-4254-a055-b2ff2ea90cf4 But in case if the user is having a problem in send-receive, there may be a lot of other cause other the hub server mails pileup like store driver on hub server not working, etc. The first step to ask the user to check it in OWA first, then proceed with other steps. Hi, I would like to confirm: Whether the problem only happens when sending or receiving emails to/from Internet (Internal mail flow is working fine)? Whether the emails that sent from the users on EX001 are stuck in one particular hub transport server? How to troubleshoot: 1. We first need check the SMTP queues, if the outbound mails are stuck in the destination domain queue, it means that this hub transport server is unable to connect to the mail server of the destination domain. If you have multi Hub servers, try to shut down the Hub server which has problem on delivering emails, then trying send the email again from users. If you can successfully send the message by other hub server, the problem should reside in the Hub server that you just shut down. 2. See the "Delivery Type". If it is 'DnsConnectorDelivery', please check this hub transport server to make sure that it has a correct IP address, gateway and DNS server. 3. In the "Last Error" column, you may see the failed reason, such as Send Connector error.
