Question: We are running Exchange 2007 in our domain.When we were on 2003, the RUS service was set to create addresses with: firstname.surname@kam.comWe have just merged with another company, so need all users to have firstname.surname@partner.com as well (ignore anything to do with MX - that is being fixed seperately).1. Is it just a case of adjusting the Email Policy in Exchange 2007 to reflect the new domain? The Email Policy essentially works the same as RUS did in 2003?2. So why not just keep RUS? Why change things around?

1. Use Set-EmailAddressPolicy to change the policy, adding the new domain. Then run Update-EmailAddressPolicy to apply it to recipients. 2. When you do the above it is applied when you tell it to be applied. With the RUS, it gets applied whenever the RUS gets around to it, if it's properly configured. When it wasn't properly configured, changes might not ever get applied. Getting rid of the RUS is one of the best features of Exchange 2007, but it is unfortunate that it required changing the recipient administrative tool.
