Question on Exchange 2007 backups
Just a quick question on backups on Exchange 2007. We were running a full backup set and the back-end backup server (TSM) failed and rebooted leaving the full backup in Exchange to fail. My question, while the backup team is getting this resolved, is can I run a full backup on top of a failed full backup without an issue. I'm thinking it should run just fine. All databases are mounted and email flow is fine. Thanksd

There is no dependency in Exchange on a previous Full backup, so if you want to backup Exchange via another product, then go ahead that will work fine. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.

So if the previous full backup failed, then doing another backup somewhere else or the same location is fine?d

Loction doesn't matter, you're only changing that, location doenst matter. Basically it will work as mentioned above,Sukh
