Question about cal and general accounts
Hello, I plan to buy Exchange 2010 (in this moment I'm trying the evaluation version). Our situation is very particular: we are 24 employees but our email addresses are 50. This occurs because we have a lot of "general" email addresses, such as info@company.com, secretariat@company.com, ecc. These general accounts are accessed by more than 1 person. Obviously when we are talking about Windows Cal, I need to buy 24 units. When we are talking about exchange cal, do I need to buy 50 units or 24? In other word, I need 1 cal for each email address or 1 cal for each user that logs into exchange? And... what about public folder email addresses? As far as I understood, I don't need a cal for them, isn't it? Thanks eclipse79

Its notoriously incorrect.

You should really ask your licensing rep these questions. Much of that depends on how you are licensed - device versus user. I need user cal. My MS reseller's answer has benn "don't know"
