Scenario:  Two moderated distribution groups.

User:  Approved sender on distribution group 1.
SharedMailbox:  Approved sender on both distribution groups.

The user in question is now granted Send As rights for the Shared Mailbox.  Can this person, when sending as the Shared Mailbox, now send to distribution group 2, or are they still restricted in sending only to the groups for which they are explicitly allowed?

I am quite not sure of your intention.

Please add the details about the DG1 and DG2 .

I understand the user had send as rights for the shared mailbox.

Based on my knowledge, this permission allows delegates to use the shared mailbox to send messages, If this permission is assigned to a group, a message sent by the delegate will appear to have been sent by the group.
