Question Regarding Mailbx Export

I'm having trouble getting New-MailboxExportRequest to merge into an existing PST.  For example if I have a user that has a personal archive enabled and I'm asked to extract their mail to a PST file.  I can run one job to extract the primary mailbox and a second job for the archive, but I want the archive export to merge into the same PST file.

I've tested this a couple of times, but can't get it to work, nor do I see anything in the help file.

Let me know what you think.  Thanks

Hi Steven,

I have tested on my lab and I notice that when I try to export both mailbox and archive mailbox into a same PST file, the file is covered by the latest one.

Based on my knowledge, they should be separated if we run New-MailboxExportRequest to export mailbox/archive to pst.

If I have anything misunderstand, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Thanks

It won't even open the file, access is denied.  But I and Exchange Trusted Subsystem have full access to the location.  If I were to enter the request with a different file name it would go through fine.

Unable to open PST file '<UNCPath>'. Error details: Access to the path '<UNCPath>' is denied.

Hi,

Thanks for your update.

Please try to enable Read/Write permissions to Exchange Trusted Subsystem for the network location (both NTFS and Share permissions).

Also try to restart Exchange Mailbox Replication service for testing.

Thanks

Trusted subsystem already has modify permissions to the export location.  I think I have to give up on this one.  Thanks though.
