Hi We seem to have trouble receiving email from a partner company. We're both running Exchange 2007. Route is: Exchange 2007 MBX (Partner) > Exchange 2007 Hub (Partner) > SMTP Gateway (Partner) > INTERNET > Edge (us) > Exchange 2007 Hub/Mailbox server (us) There seems to be a delay between their SMTP Gateway server and our Exchange 2007 Edge server, looking at the SMTP headers on these emails that are delayed. One question - I see a Received: line in the header for each server the email passes through. If a server's clock is wrong or something, is it concievable that it would stamp the wrong time on the header?

The header is written by the machine that is writing it, using its time. Therefore if the clock was wrong it would show the incorrect time. However in an AD environment, wrong clocks can cause chaos, so it is unusual to get away for long without any problems when the time is wrong.
