Queries on Mail Submission queue
Running Exchange 2007 SP2. I understand the Mail Submission service runs on the Hub Transport service and is responsible for picking up messages from Mailbox servers and routing the copy. However, where does the Mail Submission queue actually sit? On the mailbox server or the Hub Transport server? And is there any way to see this?

Submission queue is on Hub transport server. You can view submission queue in queue viewer only when messages are in the queue, otherwise you don't see the queue. Use powershell get-Queue "submission" | fl

Thanks for the quick response. If I was to run get-transport server | get-queue would this also show the submission queues?
