Publisher 2010 Catalogue and SQL

First, it would have saved me a lot of time if some where in the Microsoft literature for Publisher it has said that any tables or views have to be in the .dbo schema.  It would have also been helpful if Publisher didn't bring up a list of all of the tables  and views from all of the other schema on the server if it couldn't use them.

Anyway.

The catalogue works fine except for the single image field which is a nVarBinary(max) field in the SQL sever that stores .BMP images.  When I link the image to the binary field it does not display the image at all. I know in Access reports you have to add some VB code to get the field to display properly, is that the same case here?

I'm not sure that this requires a VBA solution. There may be a configuration option that I am missing. And Publisher shows up under my Microsoft Office tab in the start menu on my Microsoft operating system and is says Microsoft Office when I hit the help tab. So, I posted in the Microsoft Office forum.
