Public folders & DAG
Hello, I have a bit of a strange situation, Exchange 2010 SP2, latest patches, 1xCAS server, 2xMBX servers with DAG. PF replicates between MBX servers. Each server holds 4 active and 4 passive DBs, with a total of 8 active mailbox stores in the organization. At the properties of each mailbox store defined a PF that is located on the same server. So, users that right now located on db that is active on MBX server1 defined with PF replica which is located on the same server, that's correct for all the DBs. While hoilding CTRL and right-clicking on the Outlook's 2010 icon, I can see that Outlook connected as it should, to the CAS server, where as PF access is supposed to go to the PF server which is defined at the properties of the MBX db as described earlier. However, I see that for mailbox that's hosted on MBX server2 the actual public folders access is going to MBX server1. The couple mailboxes I tried, the result is the same. Any ideas why such a strange behavior? Thanks. Memento Mori

Hi Memento How many database do you have, per the information above it seems more than 8 copies. Please confirm the mailbox you tested hosted on different active database copy and on different DAG node. Please also confirm the public folder database on the node 2 work well, or the client would connect to the other publicfolder database. Regards!Gavin TechNet Community Support
