Public folder permission issue & default public folder mailbox

Hello,

I'm working on Exchange 2013 SP1 in multi-tenant way. So i have one primary Public Folder mailbox (PFROOT) and secondary Public Folder mailbox (CompanyA, CompanyB,...)

According to this thread : http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/148/t/171520.aspx i have set "defaultpublicfoldermailbox" attributes of my users to "PFROOT" (otherwise parameter is set randomely by Exchange)

If my user userA@companya.com want to create sub folder (mail, calendar, contact,...) on public folder (Owner right) i have the error message :

"The client operation failed."

I have removed/add permission twice and created a lot of Outlook profiles...

I have try to define userA public folder attribute to "companyA" but the error message is :

"Unable to create folder [...] check your permission"...

I can see my Exchangeguid public root mailbox on get-organizationconfig.

Someone have this error too ?

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

I still recommend you access Outlook client and check the related public folder permission settings.

Please check the Root Permissions in the EAC.

If you make sure you have owner permission, please try to test it on different client.

Hello,

Accroding to teh result, UserA and UserAA have Owner permission on subfolder.

Please grant Owner permission to UserA and UserAA on root public folder to check the result.

Hello,

Did you test it on different Client PC?

If the issue occurs on all Clients, please create the sub folder in EAC, and then sync it to Outlook as temporary workaround.
