Public folder in Exchange 5.5
Helloo.. I tried finding some help regarding the issue i am facing, but could not find much that can help me out. We are currently migrating from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2007 using third party tool. We are facing a strange problem with a public folder in exchange 5.5. The Exchange server and the site on which the folder was created is removed (or shut down)without removing public folderfrom the organization. We followed the below article to remove this ghost public folder. But no luck.. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323732/en-us We can still see this public folder in the public folder hierarchy and on server we can see the event id 7007 with the describtion as Event ID: 7007 "the public folder does not exist in the directory service the time delay before it will be created has not expired" Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

In Exchange 5.5 Administrator, try going to the properties of the public folder store on the Exchange 5.5 server and look at the instances. Then add the instance of the public folder that you are missing. It might take a few hours before it is accessible, but you should then be able to manage it. Of course, it won't have any data in it now, but you should be able to manage/delete it after that.
