Public Folders Issue - Mixed 03/07 exchange servers
Hello All,We are in the process of migrating from exchange 03 to 07, TO make a long story short...I am having an issue now with replicating public folders back to 07 from 03.. My initial issue started with the whole free busy issue... I was able to add the 07 server to the 03 public/system folders for replication and vice versa, foldes did replicate, but i was still having an issue with free/busy between each server.. After going through various MS KB articles... http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd277548.aspxand this one.. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727370.aspxand a few other tips in between didnt haveany issues untildoing the last article seems to have broke and type of possible replication between them.. If i run Update-PublicFolderHierarchyI get this error:Update-PublicFolderHierarchy : Cannot start hierarchy replication on public folder database 'EX07SERVER\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database'.At line:1 char:28+ Update-PublicFolderHierarchy <<<<If i try to add the 07 server back to the 03 servers replication under public folders i get:i get a message there are no public stores which do not have a replica...here is an error i get while on the 07 server, trying to add the 03 server to the replication using the public folders tool--------------------------------------------------------Microsoft Exchange Error--------------------------------------------------------The following error(s) occurred while saving changes:set-publicfolderFailedError:Cannot save the object '\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\APPLICATIONS CONFIGURATION'. I do have a few active mailboxes on the 07 server so i can notjust delete the server...
