Public Folder removal - Hierchy
I am trying to remove Public Folder from Windows 2003 R2 64bit Exchange 2007 SP+ CCR cluster. I have another Site that now handles all Public Folder references. In a preliminary step I dismounted public folder. Everything was fine except when individuals setup new mail enabled folders they could not receive mail. On my CAS server that houses additional Public folder I got error that this Public folder on CCR cluster was not mounted. I want to remove the Public Folder from hierchy with no residual affect. All clients are pointed toward Public folder on CAS server. Any help would be appreciated. I have already removed replicas to CAS server. Why am I getting error pointing to my offline soon to be defunct public folder database.

The store driver couldn't deliver the public folder replication message "Hierarchy (PublicFolders@)" because the following error occurred: MapiExceptionMdbOffline: Unable to open message store. HiDo you see this links ? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331970(EXCHG.80).aspxhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998329(EXCHG.80).aspxWhat error you have when try delete Public Folders ?

I have not attempted to delete the Public Folders and so am not getting an error other than when the Public folder is dismounted and mail is sent to mail enabled public folder. I get the error message from above. I want to make sure that once I delete Public Folder this message will be alleviated because Public Folder is no longer part of email hierchy.
