Public Folder Replication messages clog up in que
Hi all, I've got the following scenario: SBS2003 server with exchange 2003 installed, acting as a backup server for public folder replication. We also use the pop3 connector to get mail off legacy mailboxes. Then we have an exchange 2007 box which hosts all roles and (mailbox, transport etc) and the public folders db is also on here. Basically, the sbs box is just there so that I can manage the public folders until exch2007 gives public folder support. Now, I keep on getting mail with unreachable domain with the subjects: Folder Content, Backfill Request and Folder Content Backfill Response. How do I resolve this? Here is details of one of the messages: Identity: exch07\Unreachable\133368Subject: Folder ContentInternet Message ID: <A536C49D723F044D89543FBDFD4166AF251AC43D4E@exch07.domain.local>From Address: PublicFolderDatabase@domain.comStatus: ReadySize (KB): 24Message Source Name: FromLocalSource IP: 255.255.255.255SCL: -1Date Received: 2007/06/25 18:50:53Expiration Time: 2007/06/27 18:50:53Last Error: There is currently no route to the mailbox databaseQueue ID: exch07\UnreachableRecipients: PublicStore@domain.com

I to am having a similar issue and am at a loss for a resolution. In our case we have an exchange 2003FE and BE server... The BE server is trying to send updates to the FE server but they are not being processed. This is limiting the ability for us to use the built in Exchange QUEUE monitoring. I would love to know what the fix is!

The best option would be here to do message tracking and see where it is trying to deliver the message. may be those PF's have forwarding or any rules setup? Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
