Public Folder Quota cofiguration

The setup is in Exchange 2013 - DAG - 3 Public Folder Mailboxes

We would like setup the quota limit for Public folders as follows:

1.    25GB quota must be applied to all PF mailboxes.
2.    Exchange Administrator should configure proper notification methods for: when PF mailbox quota is reached (should be warned when 80% of quota is reached)  and/or active hierarchy connection count is exceeded (more than 2,000 user connections per one PF mailbox)

Please assist

Hi,

If you want to set the quotas on a public folder mailbox, use the Set-OrganizationConfig cmdlet.

Here is the article about the the Set-OrganizationConfig cmdlet for your reference.

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-GB/library/aa997443(v=exchg.150).aspx

And a related article about public folders in Exchange 2013: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-GB/library/jj150538(v=exchg.150).aspx#Quotas

When you set the warning quota, you can only qualify the value with one of the following units:

  • B (bytes)

  • KB (kilobytes)

  • MB (megabytes)

  • GB (gigabytes)

  • TB (terabytes)

Per my known, there is no way to send notification based on the connection count per public folder mailbox in Exchange 2013.

Best regards,
