Public Folder Migration with Mailboxes Still Available at Source Exchange
Is it possible to Migrate Public Folders from 2007 to 2013 if some of the Mailboxes are still residing on 2007?

Hello

not recommended: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj150486%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx

Before you migrate your public folders, we strongly recommend that you first move all user mailboxes to Exchange 2013. Mailboxes on legacy Exchange servers can't access public folders on Exchange 2013 servers

No.  2007 Users would then not be able to access public folders on the 2013 servers.

Thanks for the reply.  So, technically possible, but not recommended.  Please, correct me if I am wrong.

What if chose to go ahead and migrate PF and then after successful migration, I migrate remaining mailboxes too, would those users then be able to access PFs?

Hello

if migrate pf, user who has mailbox on exch 2007 not acces to pf.

But, if I do move it, the only problem would be 2007 mailboxes not able to access public folders until they are moved to 2013 right?
