Public Folder Issue with Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 Migration.  Reading items posted after migration from Clients machines
This past weekend we migrated from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 SP1. Mailbox move went fine and PF replication apppeared to be working fine. On Monday items were added to random Public folders but the users cannot read them. The header information is there but there is a message sating "This item cannot be displayed in Reading Pane. Open the item to read its conents." If you try to open it Outlook returns a message saying Cannot Open this item. Messages that were in there proir to the weekend move/replication of PF are all fine. If I log in to the OWA for 2010 then those messages from Monday are fine and can be read. The issue is only on the Outlook 2010 clients. It appears thatthe data is there but clients cannot read them. I looked at the Event Log but nothing showed up indicating issues. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I was able to resolve my issue. What I did was go to the Exchange 2010 server and opened up the Exchange Management Console. Then went to Organizational Configuration-->Mailbox. Then selected the Database Management tab. Theree I could see the Mailbox and Public Folder databases. I right clicked on the mailbox database and selected properties. Then clicked on the Client Settings tab. In there the defualt Public Folder Database was pointing to the old sever. I changed the Default Public Database to the new server along with the offline address book since I was in there and after a restart of the client machines all data in the PF was able to be read from the client side.
