I have been active for 2 years an Exchange CU8, 2013 I a public folder address book, and lately on all clients of research if they return this error:
There is a problem when viewing instant search results, to resolve this problem try changing the query

I have Outlook 2007 clients, 2010 and 2013.
The server errors are not generated.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "public folder address book".  Do you mean the "Public Folders" address list?  If so, enter the command:

Get-AddressList -Identity "Public Folders" | FL

Examine the queries and see if a change is required.  You're welcome to post here if you need help.
