OK then I'll try and help you with a blog link: http://office365evangelist.com/2012/02/01/hands-on-with-the-pst-capture-tool/. As the tool was only officially availble last week it may take some time before people have experience with it in production. Cheers, Steve

Laurent, You'll see that on a network trace as the application will create a remote PowerShell session to Exchange Online. However, you should be able to log in at http://outlook.com/yourdomain.com or as you see in the netmon: https://157.55.9.168/yourdomain.com Ankur

Hi Terence, I have similar issue with the new Office 365 subscription, we haven't migrated from BPOS. I can successfuly logon to https://portal.microsoftonline.com as user with Global Administrator permissions and get the server details from the OWA Help/About page, however I am getting the "(401) Unathorised error" when I enter "dbxxxx.outlook.com" in "Server" field for the PST Capture tool. Can someone clarify what exactly needs to be used there (from OWA Help/About windows): Host Name, Exchange Client Access server name, Mailbox server name or POP/IMAP/SMTP Server name? Regards, Alex

Laurent, Does the tenant admin have a mailbox? For the server, when you log into OWA as that user, copy the xxxx.outlook.com and enter that into the field. Have you migrated from BPOS to Office 365? Ankur

Laurent (and a few others), We have had some success in creating an Outlook Profile for that user and logging into the account that is listed in the online settings page. Please try this and report back. Ankur

Hi We lack of other similar cases now. Maybe you can run sniffer and checkyour networking. If I find similar case or situation, Iwill update your case. Terence Yu TechNet Community Support

Hello i used Netmon to see with more details what happens. when i click on check button, PST CT tried to connect to IP adress 157.55.9.168 i used IE to connect to this IP, and arrived on a login page (login.live.com) with Microsoft Outlook Live.. my credentials don't work on this page... Maybe thats why the tools doesn't work for me but how to avoid this ? Laurent

I have the same problem. Tried also on a ADSL line, (so no company firewalls issues). Would be nice if there is a fix for this.

Can also confirm this works... Basically configure Outlook on the PC or server that you are using for PST Capture with the same account you will be using to connect to your Office365 service. Once I did this it connected fine.
