Protected Excel columns visible (not protected) on iphone???

One of my sales managers brought to my attention today that a protected MS Excel 2010 workbook he emailed was able to be opened with all columns visible on an iPhone. I have tested it out and I see the same results. I have also searched the web and came across a few post regarding the same issue but found no evidence of a solution.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Anyone know of a way to protect the workbook so the columns are not visible on an iPhone?

Hi,

I notice that you had post the question in other forum, and you had test to add a password to the file.

But I can't understand why you said the sales rep deals with quite a few different workbooks. If more than one salers send his report to sales manager, did every saler had send a file or add their report in the same file then send by Email?

Do you want to protect Excel columns unvisible? I recommend we sent the protect Excel file and open it in web Outlook or client Outlook to check the columns invisible or visible.

If it works fine in PC, I recommend you connect the Iphone Office viewer App provider to get the help.
