Promises unfulfilled - still can't use Export-Mailbox on Exchange 2010 SP1!!
I followed
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee633452.aspx, but my Exchange 2010 server (Mailbox, CAS and HT on same server) will not run or even recognize the Export-Mailbox command. Yes, I have Outlook 2010 installed on the server. I was told on this very
forum that this was a known bug and would be fixed with SP1. It still doesn't work. When will this bug get fixed? Is there a better workaround than using Outlook? Having to set up a profile for every user that I have to export data to a PST adn then
using Outlook to export is a royal pain in my environment!

Are you using New-MailboxExportRequest ? Example New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox "MB_NAME" --FilePath
\\server\PST_NAME.pst
Within the above example replace Bold Italicized items with desired resource names
Lastly you may also want to check out Lucid8's DigiScope
http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp that can provide import, export, search, purge and delete abilities on the production server as well as the ability to crack open an offline EDB so that you can browse, search, view, export, or recover granular
data. Also you can install DigiScope on any workstation in your environment, i.e. it doesn't have to be done on the exchange server

Why is it the we have to change the command from version to version? I didn't even think of having the fundamental command change. If anyone at the MS Exchange group is listnening - if you *have* to change the command completely, the least you could
do is respond to the old command with a help response listing the new one. Please don't make my job any harder than it has to be.
Thanks for the response. I will use the new command.
