You're getting that message because you dismounted the public folder database but the system still knows it's there. Is there any reason you didn't remove the public folder database?Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Did you propertly decom the 2003 public folder store by deleting it? Did you also move the hiearchy? Even though you don't migrate the PF, it should still be properly removed. I would make sure you have a backup of your PF database, then delete all contents from your PF. Then delete the database so it's removed from the configuration partition in AD.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

I attempted to properly decommission the 2003 server, however about 75% through the install the installer error-ed out. After which no uninstaller option was available. Then I had to remove in adsiedit. The public folder event errors went away. However I can still see the mail-enabled public folders in the recipient list. get-mailpublicfolder - If I run that I can see that they are damaged, however when I try to remove it states it needs to mount the database. Anyway to force remove these?
