After an almost complete migration from Exchange 2007 SP3 to Exchange 2010 SP1 I am left with one account that cannot be moved to the new Mailbox Database. If you click cancel, the object will be displayed read-only and corrupted values will be retained. Also when I try to logon via OWA to this account I get this error: A server configuration change is temporarily preventing access to your account. Please close all Internet Explorer windows and try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk. The only way to connect with this mailbox is with Outlook 2010. I suspect it is an AD property with this account that the Exchange 2010 doesn't accept but there is no way I can find what that property is. I don't know where to look for the "Property expression "3"" that is mentioned in the error above. I have checked the account with ADSI Edit and it looks OK. I have also created a new test Mailbox Database on the old Exchange 2007 server and moved this mailbox there - it moved without any problems. What else can I do beside export to pst and recreate the account in the Exchange 2010 server? Thanks in advance for your reply. Hi Marian, Error message "The properties on this object have invalid data" will occur only when, an entry on the user account property is in invalid format, for example semicolon on the login name or space on the alias name are invalid... To correct this, Instead of cancel ( it will hide the option to edit), click ok and search for all the entries, something (!@#$%'^&*()<>?:"{}) will be entered somewhere, find it remove those contents. Rather than troubleshooting on the error, i would like to export to a PST file, and move mailbox for the issued user. Then create a mailbox in Exchange 2010 mailbox database for the user.

In the end I gave up and bite the bullet. I have disconnected the mailbox (after a previous export to pst from Outlook client) and with a touch of luck, all i have to do was to reconnect the mailbox to the same user. The bad properties data from AD was deleted by the disconnect process so in this way, in only a couple of minutes I have a fully working mailbox. That is, after 3 days of searching and trying a lot of other solutions. Hope this helps for the future problems.Marian VULPE

this is very simple to resolve all you need is to look for the account property that looks invalid for exchange. like lead or trailing spaces, look using AD users and computers instead of exchange EMC. check the alias field, email address and account or logon field. it happen to me many times, but it is always the same resolution something in the property is not valid. check carefully and u will find it.
