Problems trying to get the bcc field when journaling in a Microsoft Exchange 2003
Hi, I'm having problems trying to get the bcc field when journaling in a Microsoft Exchange 2003 (version: 6.5.6944.0) on a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition with SP2. Journaling is working but I don't get the bcc field on the journal mailbox. I tryed by setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeTransport\Parameters\JournalBCC=1 (DWORD) I also tryed to use the exejcfg.exe tool (exejcfg -e) and even that it says that is enabled I don't get the bcc nor the envelope journaling. I don't know what else to try, so any help or ideas will be appresiated. Thanks in advance.

It looks like your version of Exchange 2003 is pre-SP1, so you won't have the option of envelope journaling. In other words exejcfg.exe won't have any effect. BCC journaling should still work howerver. Did you restart the SMTP service as Allen suggested? Tony

Thanks for the replies. Looks like Tony Murray was right. Not only we didn't have Exchange SP1 installed but also that was the problem. We installed SP1 and now we have envelope journaling working. Thanks again.
