Problems installing Echange 2007 Management console on DC
Hi There - I am trying to install the Exchange 2007 Management console on my DC - WS03 r2 with SP2. The error in the logs is: [6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] **********************************************[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] Starting Microsoft Exchange 2007 Setup[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] **********************************************[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] Setup version: 8.0.685.25.[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] Logged on user: ARENA\admin.[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] Command Line Parameter Name='mode', Value='Install'.[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] Command Line Parameter Name='sourcedir', Value='Z:\Information Technology\Exchange 2007 Ent'.[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] Command Line Parameter Name='fromsetup', Value=''.[6/9/2007 1:53:41 AM] [0] ExSetupUI was started with the following command: '-mode:install -sourcedir:Z:\Information Technology\Exchange 2007 Ent /FromSetup'.[6/9/2007 1:53:42 AM] [0] Setup is choosing the domain controller to use[6/9/2007 1:53:43 AM] [0] Setup is choosing a local domain controller...[6/9/2007 1:53:44 AM] [0] [ERROR] Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: Active Directory server atdc02.arenatechnologies.net is not available. Message: 'Active Directory server atdc02.arenatechnologies.net is not available. Error message: A local error occurred.'. It seems to say that the server can't find itself (remember this machine IS the DC).... Any suggestions would be helpful. The management console won't run (I guess that's obvious) and I'm not sure what else to do. DCDIAG reports no errors. thanks --Scott
