Problem with updating Offline Address Book from client side.
Hello, I use Exchange 2007 (CCR for Mailbox and NLB for HUB\CAS). Part of users use cashed mode. Part of them have got a problem with updating Offline Address Book(OAB). If I try to update OAB manually from Outlook it doesn't help. I've found only one solution - delete OAB files manually and recreate OAB. Since part of users which use cashed mode don't have any problem with OAB I think that on server side OAB updates correctly. Please help to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

BTW, you know that using a CCR cluster for OAB generation is not a good idea, right? The OAB generation doesn't move automatically to the other node in the cluster. Be sure to get the active node back on the machine that manages the OSB. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi, 1. Check the diagnostic logs, raise the level of oal generator, is there any error in the event log? 2. On the client, you may delete the outlook profile and recreate new one. 3. I suggest you post the question in the offlice forum for discuss.

I've found a solution. At the CAS server in the folder where OAB locates (C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\OAB) I've set permission for file web.config for "Authenticated Users" to "Read" and "Read & Execute".
