Problem with converted resouce mailbox
Hi,I have problem with autoaccept setting on a conference room that have been converted from a Direct booking resource. The upgrade was done as it should by first remove direct booking in Outlook, then change type to room and set AutomateProcessing to AutoAccept. It worked for a number of days but suddenly the room stopped accepting the meetings. I have several of these rooms that still work, but this one doesn't.I have tried changing back to Direct booking and that works. But if I change to Exchange 2007 AutoAccept it doesn't respond to the meeting requests.I don't know where to look for the problem.Thanks,-- /Jakob Jakobsson

Hi, Please try to remove the cache entries from the mailbox with MFCMapi: Download MFCMAPI (Plus manual) http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?familyid=55FDFFD7-1878-4637-9808-1E21ABB3AE37&displaylang=en 1. Launch a MAPI Editor (MFCMAPI). 2. Select Logon and Display Store Table from the Session menu. 3. Choose a profile that is NOT configured for Exchange Cached Mode from Outlook. If you know that profile has cached mode enabled you can edit the profile in Control Panel using the Mail icon. 4. Right-click the entry that starts with "Mailbox" in the Display Name column and select Open Store. A new window showing the Root Container is opened. 5. Right click Root Container and select Open Associated Content Table. A new window is displayed that contains messages. 6. Scroll until you see the Message Class column. Right-click on the IPM.Configuration.Owa.AutocompleteCache line entry and select Delete Message. 7. In the Delete Item window select "Permanent delete passing DELETE_HARD_DELETE (unrecoverable)" from the deletion style drop down box, and click OK. This will permanently delete this message. Thanks for your replay Xiu, When I open the "Open Associated Content Table" it's empty. I have checked some other of my rooms, and some have content and some doesn't. So I can't remove the IPM.Configuration.OWA.AutocompleteCache. Any other suggestions what this issue could be? /Jakob

Hi, First please try to dismount the mailbox store and re-mount it to see whether the issue can be solved. If not, then please try to delete this account and mailbox and then re-create it. 1. Please export Calendar data to a *.pst file. 1). On the File menu, click Import And Export.2). Click Export To File, and then click Next.3). In Create a file of type click Personal Folder File (.pst), and then click Next.4). In Select the folder to export from (In our case this is CALENDAR folder only, do not select anything else), click the folder you want to export. Click to select Include Subfolders if it applies, and then click Next.5). In Save exported file as, click Browse to select the location of the .pst file to receive the data that you want to export. Or, type the path and file name, and then click Finish. 2. Delete that conference Room Mailbox and then AD account.3. Replicate domain controllers.4. Open Exchange Management Console and expand Recipient Configuration. Right click on Mailbox and select New Mailbox 5. Select Room Mailbox and follow the reset of the Wizard.6. Give yourself full mailbox permissions and then follow below import instructions.1). On the File menu, click Import And Export.2). Click Import from another program or file, and then click Next.3). In Select the file type to import from, click Personal Folder File (.pst), and then click Next.4). In File to Import, click Browse to locate the .pst file that you want to import, and then click Next. If you know the path, type it in the box.5). In Select the folder to import from, click the folder that contains the data that you want to import. Hope it helps. Xiu

Thanks for the answer Xiu, I will try to do the dismount/mount later when possible. If I recreate the mailbox, will all present bookings be ok at the users calendarsthat have these or what will happen with them? This is a frequent used room and users use the tracking option to make sure the booking is correct and accepted. Thanks for all help. /Jakob

Dismounting and mounting the store, and then converting the mailbox to room solved my problem and the room started accepting meeting requests again. Just have to hope it doesn't come back again since it's not a solution to keep dismounting and mounting the stores. Thanks for the support. /Jakob
