Problem with a specific email address.
I am having problems with a user account with a specific Email address. The account can't log in with an email client, It behaves as if the login password were incorrect even though I double checked it several times end even reset it from the server. We are also using a BES with Exchange, and the BlackBerry can't be enterprise activated through that email address. If I delete the use account completely from active directory and than recreate it with the same email address the problem still persists. Using the exact same account I can change the Email to something different and everything works fine. But if I change it back to the problem address the problem returns. No other address appears to have this problem. Is there information stored somewhere on the server that isn't removed when you delete the use account that would be attached to the email address.

When you say "logging in" are they using the e-mail address to logon or are they using the UPN name or are they using DomainName \ Username? Also, what are they trying to logon to? OWA? POP? Windows?

They don't need to use the domain name, just the user name. And the problem address can't log OWA in particular, and when attempting to enterprise activate the users blackberry it stalls when finding the email address. I've given the user a different email that breaks our naming convention as a temporary work around.
