Problem with Removing the Last Public Folder
I'm having difficulty removing the last public folder database, whileattempting to remove Exchange 2007 entirely from a server. These are the steps used without success: Verify that no offline address books Removeevery other public folder from the public folder database. Removing the last public folder database failed with what appeared as the replicas issue. The public folder database 'Public Folder Database' cannot be deleted.Public Folder DatabaseFailedError:The public folder database "myserver\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database" contains folder replicas. Before deleting the public folder database, remove the folders or move the replicas to another public folder database. For detailed instructions about how to remove a public folder database, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=81409. So, I ran Get-PublicFolderStatistics against the server with the resulting error message: "The task cannot find a mailbox to logon the public folder database" The uninstall fails. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The last routine is to manually delete the public folder prior ro uninstalling In my case this attempted deletion with administrator rightsis unsuccessful : this dialog appears 'its being used by another person or program..'

You must use Exchange Admin tool to delete the Public Folder store object. Later you can delete the database file if you like

Hi, There is a script MoveAllReplicas.ps1http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331970.aspxin your ExchangeInstallationFolder\Scripts directory. Try to run it on the problematic server like this MoveAllReplicas.ps1 -Server YourCurrentServer -NewServer ServerWhereToMoveReplicas Run this script and then after 15 minutes run Get-PublicFolderStatistics to see whether all replicas have been moved. If it shows nothing, it means all replicas have been moved successfully. After that you will be able to remvoe PublicFolder Database and subsequently the E2K7 Mailbox Server Role.
