Problem transfering emails, contacts and folders from Outlook 2010 to 2013
Hello! I am new to this forum! With a problem, I hope someone can help me.

I have been using my mail ( my mail is like: something@prodigy.net.mx) in Outlook 2010 on a PC with XP, now recently I bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013, the problem is that I want to import ALL my contacts from Outlook 2010 to my new lap with Outlook 2013, what ive discovered is that since I started using with my mail in the new lap  I realize that they are neither my contacts or my folders (I order my important mails in folders, and I stored in a folder with a name) and I see that the only emails i can see are around 200 (from July 2015, and I have lots more frome earlier dates))

I read that there is something like importing the old Outlook to the new one by a file outlook and I did that but when the generated file open it in Outlook 2013 on my new pc as usual, it just opens my new mail with nothing of my older stuff (just 200 mails, neither my contacts or folders).

In summary:

Is there any way I can import ALL my emails, ALL MY FOLDERS created by me and ALL my contacts from my old Outlook 2010 used on a pc with XP on my laptop with Windows 8.1 using Outlook 2013?

Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

Hi,

Which type of email account are you using? IMAP, POP3 or Exchange?

Move Outlook data from one computer to another, we need to follow the following steps:

Step 1: Copy the files from the old computer. Just copy the original PST file instead of exporting/importing.

Step 2: Copy the files to the new computer.

Step 3: Add the information from your old computer to Outlook 2010 on the new computer.

You can follow the instructions described in the following link to do it:

Hope this helps.
