Problem during Exch2007 setup
Installing an Exch 2007 64bits into anExch2003 Organization. During Exch2007 64bitsTransport Role setupI get an error showing the following message. Service "MSExchangeTransport" failed to start. Check eventlogs for possible reasons for the service start failure. Checking the app eventlog there is an event id5022 with the following description. Local RG object not found, Microsoft.Exchange.Transport.Categorizer.RoutingConfigException: Local RG object not found at Microsoft.Exchange.Transport.Categorizer.RoutingGroupRelayMap.ValidateConfig(ExchangeTopology topology, RawRoutingConfigData rawConfigData, DateTime timestamp) at Microsoft.Exchange.Transport.Categorizer.RoutingTables.ValidateConfig(RawRoutingConfigData rawConfigData) at Microsoft.Exchange.Transport.Categorizer.RoutingTables.PopulateTables(RawRoutingConfigData rawConfigData). The Exch2007Administrative Group, Routing Group and Routing Group Connector were created, but the Exch2003 Server wasnt part of the connector members. Anyone with a similar situation?

Hi, How many directory servers are in this environment. It sounds like it could simply be replication latency. If you force AD replication, or if you simply wait for a while and manually try to start the service, does it start?

Hi Scott there are 3 domains, each one has a DC on the lab. The following validation errors have been encountered:[[WARNING] TargetTransportServerVsis is mandatory.[ [WARNING] TargetTransportServerVsis is mandatory. Thanks

Configuration object CN=FRODO-LEGOLAS,CN=Connections,CN=DUNE,CN=Routing Groups,CN=DUNE,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=IGAPE,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=igape,DC=es read from legolas.igape.es failed validation and will be excluded from the result set. Set event logging level for Validation category to Maximum to get additional events about each failure. Process edgetransport.exe (PID=6376). I fixed the problem by deleting a corrupted connector. To find out if you have a corrupted connector run the Get-RoutingGroupConnectorcmdlet. If you see any warning messages (In yellow) then you do. Then delete it using the Remove - Remove-RoutingGroupConnector -Identity "%Name of corrupted connector%" cmdlet Then re-created it using the cmdlet Add - New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name "Interop RGC" -SourceTransportServers "Ex2007Hub1.domain.ad" -TargetTransportServers "Ex2003BH1.domain.ad" -Cost 100 -Bidirectional $true
