Primary email address keeps changing.
OS = SBS 2003, brand new build by me three days ago. Issue is the users have been added as "i.surname" so by default the email addresses are i.surname@company.com Emails are collected via the pop3 connection manager. and the users real emails are firstname.surname@company.comand some others are firstname@company.com I have added these other email addresses to these users ok, when i click "set as primary"then refresh the users view page all looks ok. I see the correct email addresses. I walk away for 5 mins when i come back These email settings have gone back to i.surname@company.com this is an issue because there are no pop accounts created as i.surname@company.com so if they send an email out they the reply does not come back. Obvious work around is to create alias's on the pop accounts but the user does not want this. ~Any pointers apreciated.

Hi, Do you untick an option in Email Addresses tab "Automatically update email addresses based on recipient policy" after changing/adding email addresses? Otherwise RUS willset email addressesdefault when it updates next time. If it is unticket then RUS don't touch the user to set email addresses it next time.
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

But now ifyou uncheck the "Automatically update email addresses based on recipient policy" check box for that user, and subsequent Recipient Policy updates will no longer effect this user? Or will "Rebuild" over-ride? I just ran into this, and I swear until our latest Recipient Policy change, normal behavior was to NOT automatically revert Primary Address changes. I even spoke with my helpdesk and they recall numerous occassions where a primary Reply to Address was updated to something other than the Recipient Policy primary. Strange.
