Preparad setup issues
I realize there are several post about this but I have more issues. I am trying to install exchange 2007 on a widows 2008 server. It went bad and the server died. I though I had it all cleaned out when I got this. . setup /PrepareAD Welcome to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Unattended Setup Preparing Exchange Setup No server roles will be installed Performing Microsoft Exchange Server Prerequisite Check Organization Checks ......................... COMPLETED Configuring Microsoft Exchange Server Organization Preparation ......................... FAILED The well-known object entry B:32:A7D2016C83F003458132789EEB127B84:CN=Exchange Servers\0ADEL:6f38095c-616f-47b4-b6f9-98eea4b0b890,CN=Deleted Objects,DC=city,DC=alamosa,DC=local of the otherWellKnownObjects attribute on container objectCN=Configuration,DC=city,DC=alamosa,DC=local points to an invalid DN or a deleted object. Please remove the entry and rerun the task. The Exchange Server setup operation did not complete. Visit http://support.microsoft.com and enter the Error ID to find more information. Exchange Server setup encountered an error. The posts were helpful but I am un able to preform the needed actions When useing adsiedit on the domain controler win2003 I get "The server is unwilling to process the request"when I go to the cn=configuration,dc=org name and try and edit the wellknownobjects. On the wondows2008 server I get there is no editor registered to handle this attribute type. Also when useing adsiedit in windows 2008 I see the B:32:A7D2016C83F003458132789EEB127B84 but when doing it on the win2003 DC I see ;; in the value. Any other way to change this or get around it. Thanks
