Powershell Virtual Directory lost after reset powershell virtual directory

Hi Team, I have 2 CAS Server

i had a issue, i reset powershell virtual directory for my CAS Server.

reset virtual directory process will be delete and recreate the virtual directory, but in my case, powershell virtual directory only remove. Exchange cant recreate virtual directory, reset via ECP.

after that i try to create new virtual directory via EMS from other CAS server, but there is some error

[PS] C:\Windows\system32>New-PowerShellVirtualDirectory -Server CAS02 -Name "PowerShell (Default Web Site)"
The version of Internet Information Services (IIS) that is running on server 'CAS02.contoso.corp' can't be
determined. This error can occur due to network connectivity issues. Check the availability of your network and try
again.

I try to load exchange module shell from regular powershell. this is the error

New-PowerShellVirtualDirectory : Web object 'IIS://CAS02.contoso.corp/W3SVC/1/ROOT' can't be found.

can you help me to find this issue?

Regards :)

Hi,

From the error "the version of internet information services (IIS) that is running on server cannot be determined. This error can occur due to network connectivity issues." description, I would like to clarify the following thing:

Make sure that the port 445 is open and there is no other program using this port.

Hope this can be helpful to you.

THanks for your reply Amy.

i already make sure there is no blocking access for port 445. i was telnet 445 from CAS01 to CAS02 vice versa.

port is open
