Powerpoint off domain network

I had a user take a laptop off the network for a presentation. We use folder redirection so we saved the .ppt to a USB drive, you know to be prepared... Well, when the user was preparing for the presentation on an outside network the file failed to load even from the USB drive because it was asking to open something from our network share \\domian\user\??? (I didn't get a screenshot). However the file opened just fine on another computer. Thoughts?

Hi,

I according to your description, I recommend you try to add the outside network path as the trusted location of PowerPoint.

  • Click File=>Option.
  • Click Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings, and then click Trusted Locations.
  • If you want to create a trusted location that is not local to your computer, select the Allow trusted locations on my network (not recommended) check box.

If this method does not helpful. You'd better share us the whole error message.
