Power Pivot - Error: We couldn't load the Data Model. This way be because the data model in this workbook is damaged.

Hi, Could you help me with the following error below?

I've tried installing the last cumulative update (CU) of SQL SERVER 2014 and last hotfix available. The problem persists yet. I saw several posts in the forums and I didn't find the solution.

Is This problem correlated with the data schedule in sharepoint?

Thanks ver

Hi Ricardo,

This is a known issue in Power Pivot. This issue always appeared when you try to modify a PowerPivot model in Excel while you have an SSAS Tabular instance running on the same machine.

There is a workaround you can try is to disable the SSAS Tabular service and you can edit your PowerPivot model.

For getting more information about this issue you can read this blog:

Hi Geoger,

Thanks for your reply! I tried uninstalling the SSAS Tabular instance running on the same server but the problem persist yet. Could you have another tip? This problem occurred recently and before it was working well!

See the following procedure below:

Can the an error in SharePoint below corrupt the file?

Error: The schedule has been altered outside of PowerPivot. Use the Mange Data Refresh page to update and re-save the schedule.

I've already posted my issue in Power Pivot forum! Thanks

I've done the download and installed Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), I am analyzing the report! Thanks
