Power Operator in Office 365 Excel (Visual Basic)

Hi, I am currently using the Excel 365 ProPlus for university free version in my PC. I discover that the power operator cannot be normally functioned for my excel version.

For example, when i type the following code in immediate window

?2^2

Then the outcome is 2  2  (the operator disappears and there are 2 spaces between the numbers)

When I type

?2^^2

The outcome is correct, which is 4.

I wonder why the excel on my PC will behave like this as I found other computer will not have this problem

Thank you!

Hi,

According to your description, I also tested with my local environment (Windows 8.1 & Office 2013). The code worked well in immediate window.

I suppose that this issue might be caused by the Office 365 corrupted. I recommend we run a repair and check if it is helpful.
