Possible to have mulitple external OWA domain names point at same CAS through ISA2006
Was not sure where to put this (ISA 2006, Exchange Admin, Deploy). Am deploying Exchange 2010 coexisting with Exchange 2003 for a short time. We utilize ISA 2006 which currently points to our front-end E2003 server. Have been reading the doc's on setting up ISA 2006 web listeners for E2010 CAS server. When it comes to the listener and certificates it really only outlines one (for example mail.contoso.com). In addition to mail/autodiscover etc., I would like to be able to setup weblisteners for multiple companies domain pointing to same CAS. For example, my cert would have Alternative names for: mail.contoso.com mail.microsoft.com mail.xbox360.com The idea is that we have multiple companies within our parent company and would like to give them their own easy to remember OWA domain link..but in the end they will all point to same CAS. Sorry if I made it sound confusing!

Thanks but I do not believe that link's issue is the same as he was dealing with 3 exchange version and multiple CAS. I am only using one CAS. I am curious if A: I can create multiple web listeners on ISA 2006 and point them all to same CAS. B: CAS will accept all redirects from ISA C: If I put all external domains on one cert as SAN, would there be any cert issues? Thanks.

Hi , I think you should configure different A records of same IP or even cname records for your CAS Server and point ISA with SAN cert to those A records which you will create in your internal DNS. Hi, When Exchange 2010 coexist with Exchange 2003, Exchange 2010 CAS cannot proxy request to Exchange 2003. So we have to let Exchange 2010 CAS redirect request to Exchange 2003 Front-end Server. So we need two A record, one for Exchange 2003 front-end, the other for Exchange 2010 CAS server. Also we need two certificate, one for Exchange 2003, one for Exchange 2010. Upgrade from Exchange 2003 Client Access http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee332348.aspx Understanding Proxying and Redirection http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310763.aspx Regards, Xiu

Great links and info, but I think I confused the issue. I am not concerned with the legacy 2003 servers. What I am asking is can I have multiple external domain names for my Exchange 2010 Outlook Web App going through my ISA2006? So instead of just mail.domain.com, can I also have mail.domain2.com and mail.domain3.com all go through ISA 2006 and point to my single Exchange 2010 CAS server. Nothing to do with Exchange 2003 as it will eventually go away. Thanks

Hi, We can have mutiple domain pointe to one IP address on DNS. Note: Since Exchange 2010 cannot proxy request to Exchange 2003 backend, so we have to have Front-end and then Exchange 2010 wil redirect the request to Exchange 2003 front-end. Regards, Xiu
