Possible to Mix Exchange 2007 Server Editions?
We have an exchange 2007 enterprise server currently with all four roles installed. We are looking to install an additional client access server for outside connectivity via POP3/IMAP4. Do we have to buy another enterprise license or can we just use a standard license for this front-end server? I searched all over microsoft's site and could not find an answer to this, just information about mix and match CALs with server editions. Thanks for any help.

For licensing questions, you can call 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4), Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. (PST) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/index/worldwide.asp to find contact information in their locations. Thanks for your understanding. Best regards, Xiu

For anyone else wanting to know. You can use the standard license for a front-end server according to the MS lincensing information line.
