I have 2 Exchange servers in 2010,my primary server OWA was indicate freezing issue once I done certificate renewal, I have tried to get normal but couldn’t, then I have get my secondary server as a primary and rout OWA through that secondary server, now OWA and all the mails are working fine. Let me know is there any possibility In 2010 one server OWA Virtual directory replace with other server issues VD’s?Indika.samarasekara Windows Team lead,

It should not matter because the CAS servers will redirect OWA assign to the mailbox server. You will need to change DNS and make sure if you have a record i.e. OWA pointing to your primary CAS server, point to the new CAS. That should fix the problem. Correct if I am incorrect in what you are asking.

You can rebuild your OWA virtual directories if you can't isolate the source of the issue. Reset Client Access Virtual Directories http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff629372.aspxJames Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

No one liner unless you make it a script to include both commands which is basically what the GUI is doing in the background.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com I don't think so if the GUI means IIS manager. Bear in mind that all Exchange related configuration should be done in Exchange tool, EMC or EMS. This is because the IIS related configuration will be wrote into IIS matebase via Exchange tool, it is one-way transmission only. That means, if we change Exchagne related configuration via IIS manager, that might be overworten by Exchange service when the service reflash. That's why it is not recommended to change in GUI. -FionaPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Please correct me if I wrong in any step. Fist I have to go to Exchange Management Shell after that I can try this commands right? Remove the virtual directory by running the following cmdlet. Remove –OwaVirtualDirectory -Identity 'Server01\owa (Default Web Site)' Please correct do I need to put both ( )? As it’s not in below command. Create the new virtual directory by running the following cmdlet. New-OwaVirtualDirectory -InternalUrl 'https://<Server01><DomainName>/owa' -WebSiteName 'Default Web Site' But this Default web site not in ( ) is that correct? But point 1 Default website in the ( ). ? Restart IIS. You can restart IIS by running iisreset /noforce from a command prompt window. Anything wrong please correct me?Indika.samarasekara Windows Team lead,

Hi Indika, It looks correct. I would put double quote before Default Web Site and the end of that too i.e. "Default Web Site".
