Please let me disable office upload centre

I have never had so much pain with cloud service than I am having now.

I switched from dropbox to oneDrive 2 months ago because I started to subscribe office 2013. The conflict between office upload centre and oneDrive is just too annoying. The office upload centre always report conflicts and the resolve button simply won't work. The oneDrive on the other hand duplicates the office documents when both software were uploading the same doc. If I switch to a new PC to edit the same doc file with the old PC turned on but doc file closed, the old file can sometimes overwrite the new one. Just a minute ago, I lost my one hour editting on a powerpoint file. I have never ever had any problem with dropbox. Why can't I experience the same thing with oneDrive.

Can I have only one software to upload my office documents? Either oneDrive or Upload centre. I don't need both! I hate conflicts, duplicates or overwritting. If this can't be solved, I will swtich back to my old office 2010 and say goodbye to oneDrive. I have already had it for 2 months.

Hi,

It's not the wrong forum here.

Yes, I have seen some similar issues when both OneDrive and Upload Center is used, but it was in some earlier versions and now I can't reproduce this issue.

Please make sure your Office has been up-to-date.

In your scenario, we can try to remove the cached files in the Upload Center to check the result:

Open Upload Center, click Settings -> Delete cached files -> Delete cached information.

If the problem persists, then please note the Upload Center can't be disabled easily in Office - Unless you break the feature, which is definitely not recommended.

Office uploads your files to OneDrive when you sign in with a Microsoft Account, a simple workaround is to sign out of Office, then only the OneDrive client will upload your files and there will be no conflict.
