My screen went black when i started up my labtop. I can't access my desktop or start menu. Its just a black screen even after rebooting. Its a brand new labtop! Please someone help

Steven, If the screen on your Notebook has gone black and it is brand new, this may be power supply, batteryor it could be the entire computer. You should really contact your vendor. Vendors like Dell and HP have very good support sites that should be able to give you an idea of what to do next. HTH
